Privacy Policy

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

• Account information: name, email, phone number, password
• Academic information: JAMB scores, WAEC/NECO results, target universities, courses
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, time spent, interactions
• Device information: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system
• WhatsApp details: the number you provide, verification status, consent choices, and message delivery status when you opt in
• Admission stories: outcomes, institution, course, testimonial, evidence link, and publication consent when you choose to submit an update

We use your information to:

• Provide admission probability predictions and personalized recommendations
• Send relevant notifications about deadlines, cutoffs, and opportunities
• Improve our algorithms and user experience
• Communicate with you about your account, updates, and offers through channels you have selected
• Verify a WhatsApp number with a one-time code when you request verification
• Review and, only with explicit publication consent, display approved admission stories as anonymized or privacy-safe social proof
• Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

• Service providers who help us operate (Supabase, Paystack, PostHog, and WhatsApp messaging infrastructure when enabled)
• Partner universities for admission processing (with your consent)
• Legal authorities when required by law

Automated writing (AI). On paid plans we use a third-party language-model provider (currently Groq, a United States company) to write the narrative advice in your report. We send it the facts about your target course and institution together with your scores, per-subject JAMB results, O'Level grades and state of origin so it can write advice specific to you. We do not send your name, your email address, or your account details, and we do not send it the school's internal aggregate formula.

Your report is written by that provider's models, and we treat its output as commentary only: every score, cutoff and assessment figure in your report is calculated by our own verified-data engine and is never taken from the model. If the provider is unavailable, your report is generated without the narrative and everything else still works.

We never sell your data to advertisers or third parties.

We implement industry-standard security measures:

• Encryption in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256)
• Supabase auth with secure password hashing (bcrypt)
• Row-level security on database tables
• Regular security audits and penetration testing

Under applicable data protection laws, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Rectify inaccurate data
• Erase your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Restrict or object to processing
• Data portability
• Withdraw consent at any time and opt out of WhatsApp marketing messages

WhatsApp service messages are limited to account, verification, payment, report, or admission-update support that you request or authorize. Marketing messages are optional, require a separate opt-in, and include an opt-out path. Admission stories remain private unless you separately approve publication. We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You can request deletion at any time. Anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely for product improvement.

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

• Essential: Authentication, security, preferences
• Analytics: PostHog for usage insights (anonymized)
• Marketing: Attribution for campaigns (opt-out available)

Our service is intended for users 16+. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe we have collected such data, contact us immediately.

Your data may be processed in countries with different privacy laws. We ensure adequate safeguards through Standard Contractual Clauses and adequacy decisions.

We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notification 30 days before taking effect. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
